What Is The Three-Layer Felt System?

The Three-Layer Felt System is a new type of roofing system that has emerged as a result of recent developments in roofing technology. It uses asphalt to seal and secure the roof, just like previous roofs. However, it also consists of sophisticated waterproof membranes to prevent water from seeping in, as well as a fire-resistant top sheet. The following are the three layers:

The polycarbonate film (Second Layer) is applied to the roof with a torch and has a 3G waterproof membrane bonded to it (Bottom Layer).
The middle layer is the topmost layer of your flooring (Sanded Underlay) that has been torched to bind with the bottom layer (Underlay).
The polyester-based mineral cap sheet (top layer) is fire rated.

Advantages Of Using A Three-Layer Roof System

There are several benefits with this roofing system, including:

Attractive

The mineral cap sheet is made of polyester and comes in a variety of colors. This allows homeowners to have more control over how their roof looks when compared to other torches on the market.

Low Maintenance

The cheaper, less labour-intensive alternative to tile roofs, this is a tar and gravel roof with an asphalt or concrete deck. There’s no moss buildup, which is typical on tile roofs. It can be swept or hosed clean.

Cost Effective

A three-layer roof system’s fast installation time and low cost of materials make it a very inexpensive option.

No Leaks

Because the seams on a three-layer roof structure are well sealed, water ingress is extremely improbable, especially if it’s done by experts.
